This is not a feature of Synchronet. Maybe you installed something that does this?

does that how do I find it then. The notice shows up right after login after

Are you using ../xtrn/doorscan perhaps? I have that set up on my BBS for providing notices when new doors have been installed.

Check what programs you configured in SCFG->External Programs with "Execute on Event" set to "Logon".

Maybe paste an example of what it looks like here?
